Chris Gollon is an established name in British painting. He has enjoyed many solo museum exhibitions in the UK, major museum acquisitions and public commissions. He has exhibited at Art Chicago and also with Yoko Ono, David Bowie and Gavin Turk in ‘ROOT’, a crossover exhibition of contemporary music and art created by Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth, at Chisenhale Gallery, London. His work is attracting increasing acclaim in the national press and specialist arts press. Published in early 2009, award-winning novelist Sara Maitland's book 'Stations of the Cross' (Continuum, London & New York) is inspired by and reproduces all Chris Gollon's 14 paintings for a grade-one listed church in East London (see Commissions page). In summer 2010, leading art historian Tamsin Pickeral's biography and critical survey of his work 'Chris Gollon: Humanity in Art' (Hyde & Hughes) was published (see Latest News). A recent Fellow & First Artist in Residence at the Institute of Advanced Study, University of Durham, Chris Gollon lives and works in England, and is represented in the UK by IAP Fine Art, London.
